Back to work at Wardle McLean Towers after a full two-week break.
And we have to say, it's good to be back. In many ways.
Nice to see that Prospect has listed ten things to be cheerful about and to look forward to. It's a good time of year to have future plans and positive things up ahead.
Once again, we dispensed with Christmas cards and sent out an e-card instead. And once again it crashed our e-mail server.
For Christmas 2012 we donated money to St Mungo's. In 2011 over 5,600 people slept rough in London, an increase of 43%.
St Mungo's opens doors for homeless people and helps them to rebuild their lives.
We have donated to help them rebuild a local hostel round the corner from us, at Great Guildford Street, Southwark.
One of their projects is Street Stories, St Mungo's Oral History Project. Worth a listen.
It helps to put things in perspective and to remind us of what there is to be thankful for, in the year ahead.
