You can say what you like about the AQR, but they know how to put on a party!
This year, they not so much threw caution to the wind, as twirled it around provocatively then tossed it nonchalantly aside.
The venue was Volupte, just off Chancery Lane, in the heart of Lawyer Land.
I admit I was slightly apprehensive (nervesque?) before the fist act.
But all four performers knew their stuff and wowed the slightly cerebral audience of qualitative researchers.
I'm told that in this field it all comes down to experience.
It was easily the best burlesque event I have ever attended.
And as a party it was totally glamoresque, frivolesque and rather alcoholesque.
All of which may have contributed to this thought ...
... if Hugh Gant's ex-girlfriend performed an elegant but chaotic striptease, would it be a Hurley burly-esque?
