It wouldn't have been in China, which I visited for the first time recently and where Twitter is banned.

Funny how paranoia soon sets in.

Not as funny as the poster below, found on innocent's blog.

Very postmodern. Or possibly not.

36 hours in Jakarta

On a business trip last week I asked the taxi driver to take me on a little tour on the way to the airport. 

Two things struck me:

1. I shall never complain about London traffic again having seen Shanghai then Jakarta *

2. How alike and yet how unalike we all are, citizens of these great cities of the world
